Flashmob "The city in which I live". Dnieper, dear Dnepr

Also I decided to participate in a flashmob. Also I will tell you about the business capital of Ukraine - the city of Dnieper.

I am from the small town of Donetsk region. Dnieper for me was always some mysterious city. In the childhood I often went by train to relatives to the central Ukraine. Also you know or not, the Dnieper River divides Ukraine into 2 parts - right-bank and left-bank. Generally all trains from Donetsk region and about the South which follow to right-bank Ukraine I cross the river to Dnieper. And in the childhood I always with admiration looked at the river, felt nervous trembling during movement of the train along the bridge...


I moved to Dnieper in 2009 - arrived here studies. Here also remained to live. Here I met also the husband with whom we 10 years together.

The fact that the city had three names is interesting. The final - Dnieper (to be exact - Dnipro) it received in 2016. I will not press in history, and I will tell the most interesting and outstanding - that most of all is pleasant to me. Though about the city it is possible to tell and tell...

The most outstanding at us is of course, the embankment. It is the longest in Europe the walking embankment.
Here it is possible to turn gray it is direct on a grass under trees, admiring a decline over the river, to walk, drive slowly by motor ship.



Right there somewhere in 100 meters from the embankment, it is direct in water there is an interesting fountain. It works all summer. When the sun, around it always an effective and colourful rainbow.


One more counter of the embankment - a glass green sphere.


About 10 years ago some man considered that this sphere - the portal to another dimension. Also carried it the hammer … But the ball was all the same restored.

The ball is on a high pedestal, on blocks - on them too, by the way, it is very romantic to sit and admire the small river.


And one more sight - falls.


It was called the Dnieper thresholds. And even when the falls were built, developed T.G. Shevechnko's monument - that he kind of looked at thresholds...

It is direct across the road behind the embankment we have elite area with skyscrapers. One of sights of this area - two twin houses which all call "candles".


At us there are a lot of parks, the beautiful areas, colourful buildings there are architecture.
For example near Central Department Store we have the French roundabout.


And it is relative near it - installation from a pan.


There is a park where all the year round there live swans and ducks.


And in it there is a children's railroad: with the station, the schedule, train... And conductors and drivers here - kids - it is direct at this railway road is mugs for children. Several years terribly I want to drive, but all in any way and in any way...



Centralny Avenue of the city is laid by stone blocks, and houses along it were built in post-war time, and some even have centenary history. Every summer according to the avenue the open retrotram plies. I rode it - emotion inexpressible.


Also we have a house of organ music.


Such bodies only 3 in Ukraine.


There were here at concerts 3 times - a high!! Indescribable, from some party such ominous music... But on the fan. For example, my husband was disappointed though he went to music school.

The greatest disappointment of the city in the entertaining plan as on me, is the cableway closed many years. Once it worked and carried people over the river on the island and back. Now, lovely cars with history weigh sadly and rust...



And finally I will tell the amusing fact. Do you know where there is the shortest subway in the world? It Dnieper! Only 6 stations. The truth construction of new branches, but apparently began 5 years ago, will finish it when I have grandsons.
