Finnish diet

The diet is developed by request of the government of Finland for people with an excess weight.

Smooth weight reduction is reached thanks to an exception of a diet of high-calorific dishes with use of animal fats and sugar. The use of table salt is limited. Big emphasis is placed on seafood. It is recommended to drink not less than 2 l of liquid a day.

Diet basis - soup. A diet - 4 or 5 times a day.

Recipe of soup: onions (500 g), a celery (300 g), carrots (250 g), cabbage (250 g), parsley (250 g), leek (200 g), a cauliflower (200 g), garlic (1 head), tomato juice (1 glass), black pepper, a basil, a tarragon (to taste). To wash out, cut, fill in vegetables with water and to cook to readiness. Then to make of them puree, to add to it tomato juice and spices and to cook 10 more minutes.

The approximate menu for one day:

The 1st breakfast — soup, porridge with milk (2 tablespoons), fruit juice.
The 2nd breakfast — soup, fresh fruit.
The lunch is fish soup, a piece of a boiled chicken, greens or grated carrots salad, fruit juice.
Dinner – soup, roast from low-fat meat, buckwheat cereal, fruit yogurt salad.
For the night – a glass of warm milk.

The forbidden products: animal fats, bread, pasta, rice, sweets, smoked products, canned food.

The recommended products: any vegetables, grain (pearl-barley, buckwheat, oat), low-fat meat, fish, low-fat milk, fermented milk products, skim cheese, fruit, tea and coffee without sugar, fruit juice, mineral water.
