Diagnosis of diseases on appearance of nails.

I have one book "Design of Nails" and I found very interesting information in it.
I will state in brief.

All of us know that healthy nails have a plain smooth surface and moderately dense, flexible structure and uniform pink coloring.
However in certain cases the non-standard shape and a type of a nail can be the specific feature peculiar to the person from the birth, but not represent an aberration.

Splitting of a nail plate, education on it various points or arc-shaped lines, peeling of a nail can testify to an inflammatory or infectious disease and also can be result of intoxication or violation in work of endocrine glands.

Quite often existence on nails of long lines speaks about bad absorption of food and failures in work of a gastrointestinal tract. At unbalanced food.

Speakers, the bulbar nails reminding eardrums demonstrate presence of a disease of heart and lungs.

Strongly concave (like a spoon) nails on which water drops easily keep, speak about an acute shortage in an iron organism.

White spots on nail plates are sign of shortage of potassium and zinc.
