Inspiring St. Petersburg

Girls, I want to tell you about one of my wonderful holidays. We with the son had a dream to see movable bridges in St. Petersburg. And once we went together to have a rest and to watch sights of our Northern Capital.
If you are going in a holiday to St. Petersburg, then I recommend to reserve hotel in advance and to buy tickets. Because this direction very much is in demand.

I picked up hotel near the railway station and the subway. At first wanted to buy vacation packages. It would be so convenient, it is not necessary to think of anything, everywhere carries the bus along a certain route. But then looked at the plan of visit of the museums and the price of entrance tickets. It turned out that it is twice more favorable to go independently everywhere. And plus nobody imposes anything how many we want, it is so much and we go. Where we want there and we eat.

Made a route for every day. Surely with the schedule of work of all museums which we wanted to visit. And also compared all addresses, in some days it was possible to visit several places which are in one direction. Generally everything is located within walking distance of the subway. The only thing we went to the country by the minibus to Peterhof, watched Catherine Palace and the Samson fountain.






We visited several palaces. For me it was interesting to get to the well-known Yusupov Palace. Date of construction 1770. Unique historical and cultural monument, former residence of princes Yusupov. This place is connected with the tragic death of Grigory Rasputin (the spiritual mentor emperor Nicholas II).
Yusupov' rooms just magnificent. It is a pleasure to go on halls, you do not understand how people could create such masterpieces 200 years ago. And what private theatricals not to have what magnificence and beauty eyes glued.














Visited Church of the Savior on Blood – it was built under the decree of the emperor Alexander III in 1883 - 1907. Very beautiful temple both outside and inside. Walls of the temple are decorated with a mosaic. It is a lot of icons which are also made manually of multi-colored gemstones, the huge sizes. Photos do not transfer all this fantastic beauty.







Kazan Cathedral nearby, too is sent at once.


The largest Orthodox church St. Isaac's Cathedral is date of construction 1858. We rose upward to look at the city from height of bird's flight.






We bought a night sightseeing tour. The bus gave a ride to us on old St. Petersburg small streets, the guide told the interesting facts about the city. Then we floated by motor ship across night Neva. In turn swam up to each bridge and admired as they are parted. Full delight, tremendous show.






The most important museum complex of St. Petersburg is the Hermitage.



Contains about 3 million exhibits. It is difficult to present how many time needs to spend to see all rooms. Date of the basis 1764.
We got that day when included hours "Peacock". The count Potemkin presented these hours to Catherine II. They are just fantastic. Very complex composition, everything is made of gold. Gentle music plays. The peacock opens the smart tail, the rooster makes sounds.
