My love since the childhood - "Little Mermaid" from Walt Disney

It is no secret that all of us once were children and trusted in a miracle. But so the person is suited that having even matured continues though a little, but to remain the child.

And remembering the childhood, I with pleasure come back to the favourite animated film which revised, I reconsider and will reconsider with not dying away interest uncountable number of times - the "Little Mermaid" (1989) published by the Disney company.

Why I so like this version of the famous fairy tale?

From the very first shots we plunge into incredibly beautiful, bright and music underwater world at the head of which the great, but not so awful tsar Triton.


He madly loves the daughters and with pleasure is present at their performances where, actually, and there is no younger mischievous person - the beauty Ariel.


Musical execution of the animated film pleases since its beginning - fine performance of very beautiful songs, and now also completely translated into Russian, caresses hearing. But also in the childhood when the text was only in English, I very much loved melodies. They are cheerful, still the child can just not sit, at least.

In the animated film there are a lot of interesting, memorable characters and besides Ariel and her father. For example, the crab adored by me and my parents Sebastian.


Amusing, bright and very devoted royal adviser who constantly was between two fires on crossroads to whom to listen: Triton or Arielle. I think, many remember this moment?

And handsome Flaunder? Here the sweetest creation! The most beautiful, bright and chubby flounder which I only happened to see! Besides, very loyal friend and assistant to the Little Mermaid.


And still I very much like a seagull Skattl which helped to deal Ariel with purpose of the found terrestrial things.


Arielle is very disobedient, and it is normal - at her just there came that age when there is a wish for freedom, new opening and adoption of own decisions. And yes - steadily pulls it on a surface. What the tsar Triton who is constantly forbidding to the daughter to leave sea depths is not glad to at all.

And in general it is its main mistake - the forbidden fruit is the most sweet than the others!

What happened further, I think, it is known to all. Rescue of the prince, contract with the witch and... happy end! Yes! Disney created the fine version in which Ariel does not become foam sea, the daughter of air or a star in the sky (met also such option) - she marries the prince, and they live long and happily.

But the moment which is most impressed me in the childhood at all not a wedding of two lovers, not the victim of the Little Mermaid for the sake of love, and the victim of her father for the sake of happiness of the daughter!


The triton could just leave everything as is. Arielle, as well as her sisters, would live in the underwater kingdom eventually perhaps, having ceased to long for Eric. But the father decided to give to the daughter the chance to live with darling, having granted it legs already own decision. The fine choice of the parent dictated by true love to the child.

What as a result gives the animated film "Little Mermaid" small (and to the adult) to the viewer?

1. Understanding that any decision has consequences. But the love is worth it that to risk something (the prince could marry after all another).
2. Darling can reciprocate on love, even at some conventions, this feeling does not give in to any logic (in this case, the prince fell in love with Arielle, despite the lack of a voice and ridiculous behavior).

Yes, I know that the author of the primary source is Andersen, but, in my opinion, he created only the base on which Disney built the improbable palace of the underwater world loved by millions, and even billions of children and adults! Bravo!
