Prometheus and his kindness to people

I read the book "Gods of Ancient Rome" in the childhood. By the way – it was and there is one of my most favourite books. I long thought about what to write what hero to allocate and I stopped the choice on Prometheus.

One of the most widespread myths – the myth about Prometheus. All, probably, heard history as Prometheus stole fire from the Olympus and gave it to people. He was cruelly punished for it by gods. Him chained to the rock. But there is more to come. Prometheus was subject to terrible tortures. To him the eagle flied and pecked out a liver. Nevertheless this story ended well. Then Zeus sent Heracles and that released him, but nevertheless it was necessary to satisfy several conditions.

Reading its history, touched me, the fact that nevertheless Prometheus did good. And for it it was cruelly punished. He just wanted to help people that to them it was warm that they could cook food, light a way in darkness. Very much it was pleasant to me that from all Gods, he showed compassions to people. Also was not afraid of Zeus's anger.




Except that Prometheus stole fire and gave it to people, he still taught how to extract gold how to use ware how to collect officinal herbs and to other useful things. Prometheus tried to do everything possible that people had a hope on safe, and can be on happy, bright future.
Also there is a version that Prometheus constructed the first ship.

Reading its history, you understand that in this hero there is so much kindness, it is so much sincerity, understanding and sympathy that it is difficult to express in words. Yes, he deceived Zeus, and not once. But it was so, to tell: the small evil, for big good. But I would tell that it is even not deception, just small cunning. Especially Zeus, only thanks to Prometheus and his mind won centuries-old fight. So Prometheus was not only is kind, but is still very wise and clever.




Generally, me this story so touched that for me Prometheus is the most real hero. He was not afraid of Zeus's anger, he showed sympathy, apparently, for ordinary people. He did good, without demanding anything in exchange.
