In the world of fairy tales of Old Vilnius

Once to me on eyes the book by Max Frei of "the Fairy tale of Old Vilnius" got. I opened it, in general not especially hoping for something. But once I began reading, I understood: this is Lyubov. Quite so, from capital letter.

Read, enjoying each line and regretting that the book will have an end. To my happiness, Frei has a continuation – six more books in this series therefore my travel across Vilnius does not come to an end.

If I had my way, I by all means would lodge in this magic old city. The first what I would make, – would register in dancing studio of Frida that on Raugiklos Street. And not only to learn to dance the most different colors (yes, colors!), but also to get acquainted with other dancers. And I see how thanks to our harmonious movements, the studio flashes violet, lilac or orange …

And still I would walk on all cafes and coffee shops of the city. Would play a backgammon on weather in Under an Angel coffee shop (by all means I will learn to play a backgammon!), would try Chinese cuisine on "Draconian fire". But most important is, of course, a small cafe on Didzhoi Street where one chair costs so that if to sit down on it facing the southwest, then you will hear the most unusual stories which will be whispered to you by wind.

I precisely know that I at Saint Anne's temple will see in the sky of transparent birds – to a svell, on Disnos Street – it is only worth waiting – I will get on a blue bus Maria, and on Shvento Ignoto by all means I will meet the father and the husband's father who are not with us any more, but there they precisely will appear, to us still is what to tell each other!

And when before me there will be an unsolvable task, I by all means will ask a question on Vis Shventuyu Street and I will hear the answer. And just like that quite often I will walk there: suddenly and the words told by me will be useful to someone?

Yes, nearly forgot! Of course, I will buy shoes for a dream at once to return from each dream there where fell asleep, and though very much I am afraid of height, I will try to present to the lamplighter that costs on Shvento Yono, the lamp – let it shines all! By the way, concerning dreams. In Vilnius I will not begin to worry concerning nightmares as police officers Algirdas and Tanya always on the alert, and I them, of course, will get acquainted especially as with Tanya we are namesakes …

And still – very much I hope – in little shop on Lapu Street I will buy a lace with two beads – green and blue, and it will help me to find the road to the girl with which we strong were on friendly terms in the childhood.

What is only not present in fantastic Old Vilnius! Mailboxes thanks to which it is possible to receive the most desired news, chairs – if you sit down, you will get to other world, hundred drawn fishes floating where will want, and my loved – began to smell the seas to which it is possible to leave through the closed yards (if to find an entrance, of course) …

And then, in 40-50 years when everything ends for me on Earth, from the sky to me will lower a rope ladder. And whatever coward I was, I will surely climb her to look from above at the city which dreams the prince Gediminas …
