The Voronezh region is good too!

All hello! I already wrote about the city of Voronezh, and today I want to tell about the Voronezh region! In the field of many places which precisely should be seen.
One of the most known sights of the Voronezh region is the Lock of the princess Oldenburg which is near the city of Voronezh in the settlement of Ramon.

deadokey.livejournal.com/171910.html On this website can read mystical legends of the lock.

In 1878 its Imperial Highness the princess Evgenia Maksimilianovna Romanovskaya, the duchess Leykhtenbergskaya (on the husband — the princess Oldenburg) bought a manor in the settlement of Ramon of the Voronezh province. In 1883 on the project of the architect Hristofor Neysler construction of the lock for spouses began. In three years walls of meter thickness were put up, and by 1887 internal finishing was complete.
The palace is built in "Old English" style. Opposite to a manour house — a collar with a tower and the watch of the Swiss firm "Vinter" which is built in in it, called "the secular case" as there the suite accompanying the notable persons visiting the estate accommodated.

The princess was engaged in the fact that she equipped life in the village. In particular, she constructed the Russia's first candy factory with use of steam-engines which received the name "Steam Factory of Candies and Chocolate" and later became the progenitress of the Voronezh confectionery. The products of factory had the international recognition [1], having won a large number of awards at various World Fairs
Also in the village there was a water tower (in the palace there was a water supply system both with hot, and with cold water), and near it — two houses for servants of the princess. At it the grant of its highness of the princess Oldenburg was founded, the dining room and a clinic for locals and the railroad appeared [3]. At the same time to the settlement constantly there came new peasants. As a result of Ramon began to extend and from the remote settlement turned into quite prosperous.
In 1901 Evgenia and Alexander Oldenburgskikh's 33-year-old son Pyotr married the 19-year-old sister of the emperor Nicholas II Olga. As a gift he near the lock built the mansion nicknamed "Cozy". However the gift was not pleasant to Olga, and for newlyweds the next manor named subsequently by Olgino was bought.
After the October revolution the owner of the lock was forced to move to France, and then to Canada, the city of Toronto. The manor was ruined by a certain managing director by the name of Koch. After the revolution here barracks, school, hospital, plant management, etc. in turn were located.
There is a legend as if in the years of war the German troops, having learned that castle owners have German roots, refused to bomb it, having distributed leaflets: "We will not bomb the palace". During bombings locals began to hide in it.

Here once there was a fountain, now it is just beautiful bed!

Such balconies remained here, only to approach close dangerously!

Here such bridge of desires.

Sugar plant.

In the lock I was not therefore not my photos.

Of course there is a lot more work for restaurateurs!
