Four real stories about unfortunate New Year's gifts.

Goose you are web-footed

Business was at the time of reorganization when products were in deficiency. And by new year of the hostess collected in advance jars with peas, mayonnaise and other valuable products which in shop appeared seldom. And here in anticipation of new year, somewhere in a month, relatives from the village transferred to my aunt as a gift a goose. Fat and fat goose. It was a smart event. The goose was big and occupied all freezer (but it was not terrible since there was nothing to put there especially). Within a month her family constantly listened about what fine gift to it was presented and what for new year waits for them yum-yum - the real goose with apples according to the original family recipe.

And here that wonderful day came. The aunt defroze a goose, filled and rubbed in due form. Thrust into an oven. Also went to the cellar behind banks with a pickles. On the road she probably still somewhere was late and when entered the apartment, at once she smelled rat. Namely – the goose turned out so fat that when heating fat from it filled in all baking sheet, began to flow down and gas in an oven lit up. There was a fire, it is good that the aunt appeared in time by the beginning, and firefighters arrived quickly. But the goose was not successful, the kitchen was completely lost in respect of an opportunity to cook food. And new year had to go to be met to friends.

Unprecedented generosity

Same times of reorganization. In shops there is almost nothing. Sugar according to coupons and all other pleasures. End of December. After school we pay a visit to the girlfriend. We decide to eat something. Range of food of the house almost zero. But here Lenka also says: "And we have a red caviar, but it artificial, synthetic, from oil. If you want, try". Well we of course risk to try especially as is there is a wish. It gets from the refrigerator a glass jar with beautiful caviar. For those times it was the delicacy and an impossible rarity and luxury if of course caviar was real. We mistrustfully looked at this to bank, but after all decided to try. Total – we eat caviar sandwiches with the girlfriend, and Lenka so a little fastidiously glances at us and has empty tea. And caviar by the way was very tasty, though artificial.

So there pass several days. After school we come to drink tea to the girlfriend, we eat caviar (there is no butter, but also without oil it is it seems quite good). Soon there were less half-banks.
Before new year Lena stays at home to itself, without suspecting about anything as here her mother runs into the room with shout: "Lena! Where caviar???". It turned out that caviar was the most natural, brought on big protection from where from the North, and intended for a gift to the chief. When mother bought this caviar, told subsidiary something type: "Here got caviar. It is non-standard therefore unpacked, just in bank veiled". Lena regarded the word "non-standard" as it "artificial", conjectured about oil and waste, and decided that it is a product from category "for rainy day".

For new year Masha received from the husband treasured and long ago a desired present. It was the netbook which was very necessary to her for successful delivery of a session and a side job. The netbook was graceful – small and thin, easy and smooth. The young spouse half a year saved money to please Masha with this desired device. Masha could not rejoice to such present, and right after a New Year's feast began to master it – pumped over all the information there and began to work. Especially pleased her that with this computer it is possible to move on the apartment without wires, to put it on any place and to use where it is convenient.

In several days to visit Masha and to stay for a while there arrived her grandmother. She indulged the granddaughter with the husband tasty pies and pancakes. And here somehow on the eve of Christmas all went to shop. And when came, the grandmother met the granddaughter by words: "Mashenka, I to you just to pies chaynichek warmed up. Only you know, I did not understand, I put him on a hot pad, and he somehow stuck". These words did not cause any emotions in Masha until she reached kitchen. The surprise was successful

Natalya worked in shifts as the dispatcher, and this new year she should meet at work. Therefore she has supper with the husband in the evening and went to work. The husband stayed at home and continued a holiday. Then he decided to make a surprise to the wife who early in the morning had to return from work. He laid on a floor under a fir-tree a blanket, and settled there in an anticipation of how the wife will come into the house in the morning, and will see under a fir-tree such fine gift for new year. As there in the song it was sung – "My best present is YOU". At first he wanted to wait honestly, and then to pretend to be sleeping, and at the most interesting moment to cry "the Surprise!". But the fair dose of alcohol after all dumped it in a dream. The fir-tree stood near a balcony door...

In the morning Natalya came from watch, and really was surprised, having seen under a fir-tree of the snoring husband. That, having woken up, sharply jumped to cry out the treasured word "Surprise!". But instead at it from a mouth the terrible loud groan which broke off silence and innocence of quiet New Year's morning took off. During a deep New Year's sleep under a balcony door to it great inflated and froze a waist so to be unbent it became terribly painful and it is not easy. And all subsequent New Year's vacation also had to be devoted to treatment of consequences of a New Year's joke.
