My travel to the city on Neva
Quite recently my one old dream came true - I visited the magnificent ancient city of Russia - St. Petersburg. The city and its vicinities on are rich with sights so much that to visit them all or the most part, a lot of time is necessary. But my time was limited up to only five days, but it were the most magnificent days for the last few years. I derived a lot of pleasure and positive impressions. And slightly I want to share with you.
Having packed necessary things and having spent on the way in the train some 20 hours, I came to be in the railway station of the city on Neva. So, all only ahead.
Having arrived already to a lunch, having stopped by at hotel and having recovered from the road, we with the girlfriend went to walk. Walked on Neva River Embankment. Just at this time military equipment which was prepared for a celebration parade on May 9 went. Glanced in a mosaic court yard, the Chinese park, surely "visited" Chizhyk-Pyzhik. There is a sign: make a wish, throw a coin to Chizhyk-Pyzhik and if the coin does not fall in water, then desire will surely come true. Of course, and we tried happiness. Having thrown one coin, the second and having missed, at last, from the third attempt I got to a foot of a monument of Chizhyk-Pyzhik. And, you will not believe, and I right there forgot desire. Here is how to understand it? Having decided that Chizhyk-Pyzhik took away my desire to himself for execution, I with good mood went for a walk further on the city.
Further we got to Church of the Savior on Blood. This temple was built on the place where the emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded. At present the temple is the museum. Inside all on so much beautiful that just takes the breath away. It is possible to be very long there, reflecting and considering icons.
Having passed is a little farther on Griboyedov Canal Embankment, we came to one more of the largest temples of the city - Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan.
Imperceptibly there passed the first day and evening spent in St. Petersburg and, despite fatigue, our walk did not end. We made a reservation on the boat for night walk. Why night? Because it is possible to observe very interesting show at night - a divorce of bridges. To describe that in it such remarkable I cannot, I think it it is necessary to see most.
The next day we lit to walk on the Hare island where the Peter and Paul Fortress which is a part of the museum of history of St. Petersburg is constructed. The multiple museums, exhibitions and expositions return back on couple of centuries and show evident life.
It was the 9th of May - day of the Great Victory, so in the evening we went to admire a salute in honor of a big holiday. By the way from the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress also launched volleys of a salute into the sky.
We devoted the whole next day to fine memorial estate "Peterhof". It is possible to get from the city through the Top garden or from the sea through the Lower garden there. We decided to sweep on a meteor to Peterhof, and already back home on public transport.
One of the finest shows of the museum - a large number of delightful fountains. In parks there are also several museums, one of which Petrovdvorets.
Next day we went to one more museum of the city - the Hermitage. Its scales force impress. To walk on each room and having had a look at all expositions in one day it is just impossible therefore we with the girlfriend were divided and everyone went to that part of the museum which was more interesting.
A large number to the people, change of paints and scale of the museum made conceited, but the mood could not deteriorate as the long-awaited appointment with girlfriends was ahead made.
Having met at the metro station, having sat at the fountain, we went to a colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral. Exactly from there the fine panorama on the city opens.
Do you learn these faces? I, Nastya and Yanina (from right to left). Having had a look at the city from height, shirked on vicinities, we went to the cozy place to eat "yum-yum" and to stir about life. Of course, we spoke also about our general house - wowcharm. By the way, I received remarkable presents from little girls. Thanks a lot, my dear. I was very glad to our acquaintance.
So day came to the end. And the next day was devoted to one more fine memorial estate in the city of Pushkin - the Ekaterina's garden in the territory of which the Catherine Palace with the well-known amber room is located. The palace and the park were called in honor of the empress and Peter I's wife of Catherine I.
The palace opens doors for visitors at 12:00, and at 12:10 when we approached it, the turn was impressive.
It did not frighten us. Having staid in turn hour, and after in several turns in the palace, we at last together with the guide went to watch furniture of rooms of the palace of the 18th century. The only room of the palace where it was impossible to photograph is an amber room - the well-known masterpiece of art which disappeared in years to the Great Patriotic War, and later was recreated again.
The Catherine Park covers the territory in 100 hectares. Tourists disperse who where and I do not interfere with each other at all. Fountains, constructions, lakes, footpaths, monuments and fauna of memorial estate so touches deeply and inadvertently forces to forget about city bustle. It was the only day which I ate standing at constantly walking and without having been tired at all.
Near Ekaterina's the Aleksandrovsky park in which there is an Aleksandrovsky palace built under Catherine II's decree as a gift to a wedding of her grandson Alexander I is the park. At present the palace is closed for visitors. Its doors as I promise, will be open only in 2018. Therefore I will be able to visit him only in time to the next trip (which, I hope, it will be obligatory).
Here my travel to one of the most beautiful cities of Russia was it. I am under impressions still therefore I dream to return again there again to have a look sights, to walk on parks and to visit excursions where I was not yet...
