We pack a suitcase: a first-aid kit to the road

The long-awaited holiday approaches, we go to have a rest to the warm countries, or we go somewhere in the northern direction to be alloyed on kayaks. Being adult and grown wise experience, we for certain will collect with ourselves a road first-aid kit. The volume of its contents will depend of course on several factors: places where we go (in the large city it is possible to buy in addition something necessary, in a taiga it will hardly turn out), in what structure we go (if with us children or elderly grandmothers, then drugs it is necessary to take more), well and our own state of health.

If to be afraid of everything, then the first-aid kit can be inflated to the improbable sizes. One my acquaintance, mother of two juvenile children, managed to pack with herself on rest into Turkey an ultrasonic inhaler weighing under 2 kilograms plus two bottles of physical solution to it in addition. And though I convinced her it not to do, but she told that so to it will be quieter.

So, here what approximate structure of a road first-aid kit:

- Cure for the help for wounds and bruises: iodine or brilliant green in the form of a pencil, sterile bandage, spirit napkins, a set of adhesive plasters, elastic bandage, Miramistin, Baneotsin. It is also possible to take Aktovegin ointments, Pantenol, "Rescuer".

- The anesthetizing medicines: analginum, baralgin, Citramonum, paracetamol, pentalgin, and other options which help you. Most of them are also means for decrease in the increased temperature. For especially serious cases – Ketonal anesthetic (Ketanov).

Anesthetics and febrifugal are suitable for children: Panadol, the Nurofen, Paracetamol, Tsefekon, Ibuklin, the Ibuprofen (active ingredient in them one and too – paracetamol or an ibuprofen, but names of drugs at different producers are various)

- Means for gastrointestinal problems. Means for treatment of intestinal frustration and diarrhea: loperamide, enterofurit, Enterosgel, Activated carbon, Smekta, Polisorb. For restoration of intestinal microflora after frustration – Hilak-forte, Lineks, Atsipol, Bifiform, etc. Enzymes: Pancreatinum, Festal, Kreon, Mezim.

- Drugs at problems with a stomach: Maaloks, Omeprazol, Motilium and another necessary to you.

- Spazmolitiki: Noshpa, Drotaverin, Papaverin.

- Motion sickness medicines: Dramina, bracelets from a motion sickness.

- Means for treatment of cold (are relevant if you have children who often pick up ORZ).

Drops against cold: Nazivin, Otrivin, Galazolin, Otrivin, Pinosol, Dlyanos, etc.
Medicines for treatment of a throat: Stepsils, Lizobakt, Faringosept, Ingalipt, Geksoral.
Cough medicine: Ambroxol, Kodelak, Bromgeksin, Gedeliks, Askoril, etc.
Means for treatment of otitis are drops of Otipaks, Otinum, Sofradeks.
- For treatment of the konyyuktivit (if you are often subject to this disease) – Albucid, Levomitsetin.

- Allergy medicines: Tsetirizin, Zodak, Fenistil-gel, Klaritin, Telfpast, etc. (even if none of you never had an allergy, it is better to take in a trip such means as allergic reaction to something in new conditions can appear absolutely unexpectedly).

- Ointments and gels of the anti-inflammatory and anesthetizing action if you suffer from muscle and joints pains, - Ortofen, Diclofenac, Ketonal, Finalgon, Bystrumgel, Dolobene, Apizartron will perhaps be necessary.

- Digital thermometer

- Antibiotics (in case you are sure of the knowledge and you can understand without doctor that their use is required) – Azitromitsin, Tsiprolet, Doksitsilin, Klatsid, Baktrim, Rulid, Monural, etc.

- Means against stings of insects (at trips to the respective regions).

If you at you are chronic diseases, and you know the standard scheme of treatment of their aggravations, then it will be logical to put a set of drugs and on this case. It can be antibiotics, nonsteroid anti-inflammatory medicines.

Well and of course if you have diseases demanding continuous drug intake, then these drugs are put too with themselves. If we go to travel around Russia and for a while, then it is convenient not to take many jars, and to load tablets into a special organizer for drugs.

But at flight it is not desirable to carry tablets to other country in bulk without packings, it can cause problems at customs. All transported drugs have to be in original packings with labels.


If children of chest age go to a travel, then the first-aid kit size considerably increases. There children's oil, cream, powder, perhaps means from kolik, locks, the ointments used at a teething will be added. The majority of medicines for kids has the form of syrups and therefore a quantity of small bottles will be added to a first-aid kit.

If you go by plane, then all first-aid kit most likely will go in baggage. It is necessary to take care of its careful packing if as a part of a first-aid kit there are glass bottles.
Just in case I put in hand luggage which will be with me in salon, headache pills, spazmolitik and motion sickness medicine. The specific drugs can be necessary for someone.

In each country there is a list of the drugs forbidden to import. Just in case it is desirable to get acquainted with it. If your medicine gets to this category, but it will be vital and prescribed by the doctor, then it can be taken, having shown supporting documents.
