In Russia there are so much wonderful places where there is a strong wish to go, admire the nature and sights. Kislovodsk - one of such. Many-sided and beautiful, green and benevolent, fascinating and inspiring. And what there air!!!

Weather in the Caucasus of course is unpredictable - the Internet promised for May holidays even +25, but upon nearly an every day there was a rain, therefore shorts and a short skirt and remained to lie drearily in a suitcase. But the windbreaker and waterproof boots became thing No. 1 for walks.
To the resort come from the whole country and not only, the Narzan mineral water many want to try treatment, and the abundance of refined sanatoria cannot but will impress. We modestly arrived for five days, so to speak for investigation. But the trip so impressed us that we on "family council" solved though once again here, but it is obligatory to return.

What bewitches

The huge park on which it is possible to walk tirelessly.


We took scooters therefore to move it was much more cheerful, than on foot, though of course did not refuse foot walks. It is possible to rise in the top of the park on the funicular, to look at the city practically from height of "bird's flight".



By the way, at the height of 1250 m above sea level in the resort park the Olympic sport center which is the center of training of athletes before the World Cups and the Olympic Games is located.
Across all territory of the park it is possible to meet people of the different age which are carried away by the Scandinavian walking. They so actively and cheerfully walk that for a while and most there was a wish to adjoin their ranks. And sticks for walking can be bought practically in any shop in the resort boulevard unless they are not in souvenir shops yet).


Squirrels with titmouses and wait that now someone will feed them with sunflower seeds. They here almost manual, titmouses are not even afraid to sit down on a palm.


Special pride of the park - the flower calendar. The name of month always current therefore it is changed by each four weeks.


What to look at

Narzan gallery


Very beautiful architectural construction both outside, and from within. Large windows, there are a lot of houseplants, posters with information on the history of opening of sources and construction to the gallery hang on walls. In the middle of the building numerous drinking pump rooms with the general, dolomitny and sulphatic narzan are located.


Kurortny Boulevard


On it the main narzan bathtubs, October bathtubs resort policlinic and also numerous souvenir shops and restaurants are located. It is a pleasure to walk on the boulevard. That the most interesting - all shops work strictly till 19:00 and as though in a moment the busy boulevard becomes almost deserted. Only lonely passersby who hurry to get warm and eat well in some cozy cafe.

Fedor Shalyapin's museum dacha


Near the railway station the museum dacha of Fedor Shalyapin in which in 2017 the legendary singer lived is located. By the way, recitals and concerts are still held there.


Museum fortress


The local history museum is in the building of the former fortress. Of course, now all significantly restored, to it it is already more than two centuries. In this Russian fortress great poets A.S. Pushkin and M.Yu. Lermontov stopped. About it there is a mention to stories by Lermontov "Princess Mary".


Construction of fortress is considered the beginning of foundation of the city of Kislovodsk about what it is written on a memorable stone near an entrance to the main gate.


There is a lot of impressions, it is possible to tell still very long. Kislovodsk will not leave anybody indifferent, is sure that it is beautiful at all seasons of the year. Even pouring rains did not prevent us to enjoy the mini-holiday.
