Suitcase or bag?

I did not manage to go to distant travel yet, my trips were limited to a trip to Yoshkar to Ol and Moscow. And here my husband where was only not! Former work constantly sent to business trips, he traveled about across all Russia, and not only - two weeks worked in Kiev. Therefore he understands collecting better me. He insisted on that at the first trip with the kid to the village we were packed in a suitcase. I, on the student's habit to travel with one bag through a shoulder, refused exactly until began to put things. And now, even at a trip in the train, but not by the car when things we take on a minimum, we go with a suitcase.

In what advantages of a suitcase? First, here great advantage is the form. In a bag of a thing are rumpled, there is an opportunity to unintentionally spoil what is inside. And the suitcase – capacious, at short trips perfectly replaces furniture: from it it is possible not to take out those things which are not necessary to you at the moment. If you departed to the distant countries, you for certain will want to bring souvenirs. They will perfectly find in a suitcase to themselves the place and will reach without any damages.

One more plus is that you do not need to drag a suitcase on hands: many models have castors, and conveniently slides on the ground. To us, fragile women to drag weights to anything!


Besides, the suitcase has several offices, convenient pockets for those things which you need to get without delays (water, any means from ukachivaniye etc.). Of course, if you fly by plane, such things need to be kept around, but here in the train it will appear very conveniently!

For this reason I advise also you when collecting in distant travel to be packed in suitcases, but not in bags.

Another matter, of course, short trips without children to the neighboring cities, to the village to relatives. We with the husband went to a horse tour to Yoshkar to Ol twice, and in both travel packed the things in backpacks. For the first time, when we were not married yet, I with myself took shampoo, cosmetics on a minimum, a towel, pair of undershirts and t-shirts, shorts, footwear, comfortable for riding a horse, jeans, not a really warm jacket (what regretted later about – unexpectedly became cold), and, of course, money, documents and some tablets. For the second time we already went newlyweds, knew what expects us therefore in addition took also jackets. And, as they say, the law of the evil, there was a heat. Fortunately, our capacious backpacks did not bring us: hands were free all the time. We quietly took a walk in the city (in the first trip it did not work well because of a trip), in backpacks also various souvenirs for all relatives quietly were located.


To what do I conduct? If there is a lot of things, take a suitcase. If it is not enough – a backpack. Why not a bag? Because I on the student's experience know that it is silliest invention - to go with a bag atilt somewhere. The bag dangles on the parties, touches other people … In a word, one trouble!

What to take and to take?

Here again there are questions: whether far you go, with children or without for how many days, etc. I already said that earlier I with myself took everything on a minimum as all trips made small term. And on trips with the child everything is in a different way.

First of all, I pack the child's things. If we plan to go to a week or two, so we take clothes with calculation that the rain or snow can become warmer, cold, go – we prepare for all natural cataclysms. It means that with us almost all our clothes go.


All medicines which I give to the child at cold gripes, diarrheas, etc. too immediately go to a suitcase. Never it is impossible to count that the child will not get sick. And if, God forbid, ached, it will not be necessary to think of, where at two o'clock in the morning in the village to find the round-the-clock drugstore.

At the first trips we took toys and books of which our daughter at that time was fond. Fortunately, we were taken away by my father therefore we were able to afford also a bag with a package of all our wealth. Over time, toys shared on "rural" and "city", and now we carry with ourselves only our Skunk (yes, a strange toy from IKEA – that toy without which the daughter cannot fall asleep!). And many clothes removed to my parents therefore a junk with ourselves we drag less now.

As for cosmetics, from a dekorativka in the village one ink is enough for me, and that it is used only at the return trip to the city. And here ukhodovy cosmetics is without what I cannot live! At a trip in the car I with myself take almost all the means, shower gels and shampoos become an exception only. And when it is necessary to use public transport, I should be limited to a minimum – to pour something in small jars, to refuse something at all. At incontinuous travel, it is, of course, not essential. And it is possible to find a heap of products in the village, besides natural to replace a face pack or a hair. It is possible to live without srubs: descended in a bath – all pollution left irrevocably.

And nevertheless, that most important?

I consider that first of all it is necessary to take in travel documents, money and medicines necessary for you. And at trips to the distant countries to have also inoculations. If forgot any clothes, glasses or a towel – it is not terrible at all! They can always find replacement.
