The movies immersing in the atmosphere of the past

And what cinema and what genre are loved most of all by you?! I, honestly, will not tell that the big fan of historical cinema, but is after all several pictures about which I want to tell you!

Eeekh... there is in it something especially fascinating. And, it seems to me when a story about how once was in front of your eyes reveals, you just completely plunge into the atmosphere of other time, culture, perception surrounding... Also you are loaded with impressions to the maximum!

In my post I want to tell about three interesting stories at once! And as it events of the last centuries, I will tell about them in the return chronological order and "to otshagivat" slowly further and further in history


I will begin, perhaps, with the movie (mini-series) Gudini:


It, of course, is not absolutely direct strongly historical... Because events of 19-20 centuries. But it is history based on real events. In a shot - the story about Harry Gudini, the American illusionist famous improbable and often dangerous tricks!

To whom will it be interesting? I think... yes, frankly speaking, all!

Do you love focuses and a show? Then this cinema for you - all story of transformation of the ordinary boy into the world-class illusionist is told. Interestingly, as Russia was reached by its glory. Even Gudini was succeeded to impress imperial family!

Honestly I will tell you, its tricks are extremely disturbing and unimaginable... How it - to get out of the closed aquarium filled with water when you are held down by a chain and is suspended head over heels?! Or to be chosen because of a lattice?

Or you love the drama and a story about love? What, then you will precisely endure about its relations with the wife. Family history reveals in this movie too! And there not everything is so smooth.


And still, for me its feelings and the attitude towards the mother were especially touching!

The following picture carries us slightly far away in history. In a shot - the beginning of the 19th century. It either the serial film, or series (here call as it is pleasant to you more).

Name known to everyone: "War and peace"!


At the moment there is not one version of the screen version of this remarkable novel! Removed them and at different times, and the different countries... But I want to tell about the mini-series (8 series) which appeared in 2007. Italy, France, Germany, Russia and Poland worked on creation of a picture! Shootings lasted 2 years. Amazing suits were created, interiors and other trifles are worked most diligently out... Of course, some details from the book are cut down, a little changed, but all the same, over series tried wonderfully well.

I watched it with mother and younger sister - we very much liked this screen version! Moreover, my little sister without us still reconsidered it (to a word - her then 10 more years were not so we very much were surprised that it was interesting to it) then, so worried about all. especially Pierre became her favourite


And on some moments we together cried few times

Generally, beautifully it is also qualitatively removed, I recommend!



Well and last "short step" in history, already for the turn of the 16th century - Borgia:


This already any do not pass, and full series. Though I want to tell those who will be frightened of this word at once that it is a little series in every season, and a season only 3. It is only enough to plunge into its atmosphere, and it will be seen on one breath!

Story about Italy, period of the Renaissance and Borgia's family! Everything begins with the fact that in rather cunning way Rodrigo Borgia becomes the new Pope - Alexander VI. And it is natural when the power appears, there are also enemies... Therefore it is a story about how their family managed to survive and reach such influence.


These series also have several versions. But I tell about Canadian (even purely visually, on posters, it to me attracted more, than French). The Showtime channel shot these series - here who though knows about it a little, probably, at once can imagine what atmosphere at series (slightly to clear, Shoutaym is also known for such projects as Kalifornikeyshn, Dexter, "Tudor dynasty", "Shameless", "Horrors on the cheap", "Homeland" and so forth). It is really qualitative drama! The series can seem to someone too cruel or dissolute... (yes, I would put restriction 18. or 16+). But if it is a story about race for power and deception, about war, about diplomatic cunnings, marriages of convenience, secret love. incest, treachery... About rather severe times! If these series about cruel things, unless it can be another?!

Well and as the girl, I, of course, cannot but mark out the main character - Lucrecia Borgia. In the first series - the young and carefree naive girl. But, probably, she "grew up" from all characters for these 3 seasons most. Such heartrending experience cannot but leave a mark... And its relations with Cesare... Eh

I will honestly tell, I did not study the history of Italy too in detail therefore I cannot tell about volume as far as all facts from history are transferred authentically and truthfully... But I can tell that scenery and suits - really very qualitative! Unfortunately, it became one of the reasons of closing of series - the management considered that shootings cost very much. Therefore after 3 seasons it was closed. Despite it, it was managed to be finished rather not bad. Though the hope for continuation somewhere is available for each viewer of Borgia

And all because series - excellent!
