What is true friendship?! I think each of us has criteria according to which we can select true friends, at everyone the definition of friendship, but whether friendship between a dog and the person has the right for existence?! Unambiguously has and kind of you did not imagine it, in this movie there are all proofs to it. "A magnificent dog" - the movie about boundless love and devotion of a four-footed being to the little boy.

Action is developed around ten-year-old the boy Jimmy and his loyal best friend Rennie, a German shepherd.
Rennie is just wonderful, incredibly clever and cheerful dog whom Jimmy worships. But in accordance with the circumstances, namely moving of family to New York, parents tell the boy that with themselves they will not be able to take a dog and they should leave it here, in a local zoo.


As Jimmy did not try and did not finish parents, he nevertheless had to endure parting with the best friend.


However, Rennie does not intend to be reconciled with the events and a cage to it not a hindrance.
Shortly he runs from a zoo and goes to a hard travel in search of the little friend. In way it is waited by interesting and dangerous adventures, but also it is not a barrier.


Despite of everything the wonderful dog manages to find for Jimmy, but also it is not the end. It appears, to the family of the boy which is not suspecting anything, the danger, and despite treachery threatens, Rennie is ready for the sake of their rescue for everything...
