The girl with "elephant skin" had a chance of recovery

Nisakorn Panurak is the thirteen-year-old little girl from Thailand living in the small Province of Petchabun. In several weeks after its birth parents refused the baby because of serious problems with skin, and it was taken on education by the fifty-five-year-old grandmother. Here only sheer poverty does not allow the unfortunate woman to pay for treatment of the granddaughter.


When Nisakorn was only born, her body was densely covered with numerous birthmarks which over the years began to increase considerably in sizes – now all body of the girl is covered with enormous birthmarks, and the skin on her back became to such an extent thick that not to distinguish it from a skin of an elephant.


With heat approach skin of the girl begins to itch very strongly, and to escape from pain, Nisakorn for hours sits in water. At the same time she is absolutely lonely – age-mates do not love her and in every possible way scoff at her. And not so long ago in completion of all troubles found in the little girl also a lymphoma then the desperate grandmother decided to address philanthropists. And this address yielded desirable fruits – the Thai lottery fund made the decision on transfer to the girl to a gift of hundred thousand Thai baht (more than three thousand dollars)! So now Nisakorn had a hope for recovery and for significant improvement of quality of life!
