Stemping. My personal experience.

At last were not too busy at me to the promised post about my experience in a stemping. Stock up with time and patience - the post will be long.

I will begin from far away. For the first time I learned about this type of design from the all-knowing Internet. A lot of the watched video so simply and well told that if you want to have beauty on nails, then there is nothing more simply: you buy set for a stemping, and in 20-30 minutes you receive this beauty. Began to google where to buy. It turned out that the prices fluctuate and it is quite notable. But then I thought that here the rule works: who how many money needs, that also puts such price because visually these sets for a stemping a little in what differed.
Therefore I decided that there is no sense to buy expensive set.
So at the beginning of 2012 I had my first set for a stemping. Set it of course was loudly told. The set was separately bought: stamp and scraper, separately paints: white, black, silver and gold, and separately two disks with drawings. The truth all was bought in one online store and respectively I received all this in a crowd.

Photos of those tools and materials at me did not remain therefore found in network of a photo.
Here so my first stamp looked.



The stamp had a rubber small pillow and rigid. It was heavy to roll a stamp on a nail. Besides paints for a stemping appeared not the best quality. If black and white still though something was printed, then silver and gold were translucent and respectively could not give the accurate drawing. Therefore silver and gold paints were set aside in a far corner, I expected to use them instead of varnishes dlit nails, but so they also stood at me year one and a half until I threw out them.
White and black at first tried to print on paper, it seems, it turned out and when transferred process to nails, there was not everything as simply as it seemed.
First, nails at me not the most flat, and a stamp as I already mentioned, rigid therefore it was necessary to make efforts to print the drawing entirely, but he aimed to run around like a mad somewhere or not to imprint at all.
Besides the print very long dried, paint long will be to tell dried more true and manicure dragged on for rather long time. For varnish I then had no drying yet, and to sit on an hour and more waiting when all this business dries out, did not smile to me in any way. Generally pomayalas I so several times and having been upset postponed this "miracle" until the following good spirit for this process.
By the way, disks appeared quite good quality. At least on paper prints turned out quite accurate, but it did not help to make a stemping on nails in any way.

But it turned out at others? Saw with own eyes as this "piece" works! This thought haunted me and I began to study the Internet concerning lessons and responses of a stemping again. And here then I learned that not only me it "was so lucky" with the Chinese set. Many complained that they do not manage to stamp drawings on nails.
But there were also positive reviews, but on absolutely other tools and materials. So my look was directed towards the Konad brand. The prices of their products were much higher, but I practically did not meet any negative review. And I lit up to acquire also to myself this "wonderful set".

Only a stamp at me not with a white small pillow, and with pink. And disks were offered at choice therefore at me others.
And as the proof to the fact that I really have this set I provide you now my personal archival pictures taken for the review of my competitive manicures.

In the photo the stamp, a disk and black paint for a stemping from the Konad set is lower.

Who remembers my competitive manicure about Minnie Maus, that has to remember that I have there on one nail a bow in peas as at Minnie, and so this bow is printed from this disk, at what by usual cheap nail varnish which on a photo costs extreme at the left. It to a conversation that at least disks were good of all first set.



In general, these Chinese disks go as analogs konadovsky according to drawings, only on them are not present branded signs and, of course, the engraving at the disks Konad is better, i.e. they give an absolute print of all drawing without gaps. Chinese lose in this plan a little.

And so, when I received this signature set and tried though something to shtampanut... to tell that I was surprised, to tell nothing it! Because I felt a difference as the tool at once. The first test took place successfully! I at that moment had not really long nails and a stamp, though rubber too, but it was softer Chinese, perfectly transferred the drawing. And paint dried quickly if not to tell instantly therefore on zastempit all nails, at me at most half an hour left then! And it is the first time!

Well and when I estimated all qualities of this type of design, I understood that it is necessary to expand a palette of drawings. Then I ordered couple more of the disks Konad.
Then to steam of small plates, I do not remember whose production which on quality were worse than konadovsky.
And then I had two plates more, productions of the USA, with large drawings on all nail.
I found a photo with such plate at myself in archive too. On the same photo penultimate there is a paint for a stemping Konad, white color on the right.



Tiles appeared excellent quality! The only nuance, in these drawings is not present thin graceful lines and patterns. But nevertheless the majority of drawings very beautiful, are abstract patterns, and there are thematic. The couple of my competitive manicures was created by means of this platsina.

Much to my regret, when we hastily left the house, I did not take with myself set for a stemping. Therefore from above shown at present I have nothing here.

But almost before the departure I managed to make the order for the tiles which are quickly gaining at that time popularity for a stemping I wash London. Constantly natykayas on only enthusiastic reviews of quality, I lit up also to myself to obtain such tiles, but the price of them already then was not the most democratic. To participate I was lucky in joint purchase of these tiles therefore to me they cost cheaper, than there was retail price.
But, I remind, I ordered them almost before departure, the truth I then did not know yet that I should leave. And when all this happened, I thought that my order because the address was specified on a registration cried, but I there was not any more and mails already ceased to work at that time.
By a lucky chance I managed to intercept that is called the parcel on the transit point from where it has to be sent already to me home. I managed to change the address and here they are my distressful tiles at me now.



Very much it is pleasant to me that each plate is packed into a separate envelope on which the name of a series is written.
Series various at Moyulondon countless multitudes. I well remember that I suffered a choice problem of the order in time. Both that there was a wish, and this, but the budget was limited.
I ordered three tiles from the missile defense series, one of a series for brides and one of the Mother Nature series

Bride's Manicure series



I very much love lace on nails and I was going to order this tile on any first of all.

There are two tiles from the missile defense series further that, I so understand, means professional.

By the way in the following photo you can see that Moyulondon releases the tiles with drawings of different formats, for short nails and for long.

I do not know even why I still did not unpack it.
Definitely not because it is not pleasant to me. On the contrary, very much it is pleasant. I adore such abstract patterns. Probably I protect it for some special manicure.

It is a lot of fine details, but an engraving so deep that all drawing without problems is printed on a stamp and then on a nail.

As you can see all smallest details were postponed for a nail that proves once again excellent quality of these tiles. Still happiness would also be it the price less to us.

Now we will talk about stamps.

Then in a prize-winning parcel together with a superplate to me also the naborchik for a stemping in the form of a double stamp and a scraper came.



Actually it differs from my small stamp only in the fact that it long and since one end at it a big small pillow, same as well as at a unilateral stamp, and since other end - small. Both small pillows rubber. Small it is convenient to stamp small drawings or separate elements.

I was happy immensely when I saw in a parcel a stamp because it meant that I at last will be able to stempit drawings on nails. And that tiles are, and to stamp that there is nothing?

Not always at me it turned out to make all ideally from the first because a rubber small pillow after all not so soft that light touch it would be possible to transfer the drawing to a nail, especially long. And I as you know like to carry long nails. Therefore I dreamed of a silicone stamp about which I read much that it so soft that with transfer of drawings even on very long and convex nails, there will be no problems at all.
But to buy such stamp from official representatives it was expensive, and to buy Chinese to me it was not represented possible because I never dealt with the Chinese online stores.
But unexpectedly there was a miracle and my friend, the same lakomanyachka, mentioned that it has the Chinese silicone stamp which is unused because she won somewhere there a signature silicone stamp Moyulondon, plus at it was another Chinese, round with which it was more convenient to it to work. And now rectangular Chinese she can just present that to me.
Hurrah! Here so I had a silicone stamp!



Pulled out a small pillow for descriptive reasons. In a konadovsky stamp of a small pillow are taken out too.

I was very glad at first, yet did not understand that nothing is impossible to me with this new stamp. The drawing slantwise laid down on a nail, lines simply blurred and the drawing looked lyapukhy. I needed some more attempts to tame a stamp until I understood that I try to work with it, as with rubber. And with silicone this number does not pass.
Rubber rigid and well to print the drawing on a nail it is necessary to use certain efforts when pressing. I treated silicone also first. And it turned out that it is not necessary to press so strongly on him and then the drawing will lay down more exactly and will not blur because there is no such strong pressure upon a nail. As soon as I understood it, all earned at once.

In general, to be fair, it is necessary to tell that qualitative stamps though rubber though silicone, transfer the drawing equally well.

As you can notice, prints all give accurate.
But it on a flat surface. With nails the situation is a little on another.

I will try to show on a photo to you in what a difference after all.

As you can see, there is no special difference. Rubber hard and reluctantly gives in to pressing.

I hope you saw a difference. First, the small pillow is higher over the case of a stamp, and secondly, it is much more pliable and easily nestles a finger.

Now I will show comparison of a print of the drawing on stamps.
As an example I took this drawing in which there are both large elements and absolutely fine details.

It is not difficult to notice that both stamps worked perfectly well! Both prints accurate.

So why I fell in love with more silicone?

Because my nails except that they not flat, and with a pronounced arch, also "peck", i.e. the nail plate at growth of longer free edge begins to be bent in inside.



Therefore it is very difficult to work with such nails a rubber stamp. Owing to its rigidity it is not able to capture a nail entirely because it (in sense a nail) is bent and it is necessary to press stronger a stamp on a nail and to roll it on all nail that the large drawing was printed completely.

I hope to you clear that a stamp it is necessary to twist also from a cuticle to free edge, and from one side roller to another to receive a print of the big drawing. But even at all these manipulations, the rubber stamp is not able to print the drawing end-to-end to all nail border. Near a cuticle and side rollers all the same there are 1-2 mm of the nail which is not filled with the drawing.
With small drawings of problems does not arise, the rubber stamp perfectly for this purpose approaches even my convex nails.

And here I print large drawings only a silicone stamp now.
Why? The answer on the following photo.

Well I think everything clearly here. The nail almost entirely plunged into silicone, so it is soft. But after all not so quite so to print the drawing. By strong pressing the drawing can be flattened out therefore the principle of an otpechatyvaniye same, as well as with rubber, a rolling method from edge to edge. The truth and here I should drive a stamp a little round, more precisely, letter "P" to take my humpbacked nail entirely. But the silicone stamp completely fills with the drawing nail space, from edge to edge and without any gaps.

Now at me a dream to try a supersoft silicone stamp. Such, as the most left on a photo, where four stamps for comparison. It sticky also touches on itself(himself) the drawing from a tile literally one easy contact, and it is possible to print the drawing on a nail that way when the nail is just dipped into a stamp. Silicone in such stamps so myagusenky that it just shrouds a nail without excess gestures from all directions.
But meanwhile it is only my dreams.

Napkins and plastic card.



For removal of paints from plates I use both usual wadded disks and lint-free napkins. Lint-free napkins had to be bought in online store after I ran all over all city in their search, but about them here and did not hear.

For what lint-free? Some plates have so keen edges of an engraving that wiping with their usual wadded disk some jags in the drawing cling to pile of a disk and pull out it during wiping. These fibers had to be deleted then scrupulously because they would prevent the subsequent accurate otpechatyvaniye of the drawing and just could stick to a stamp and be transferred to a nail together with a pattern. And I do not think that the stuck pile on fresh manicure would please someone. Here for such cases I also had lint-free napkins. Small minus of their use is that they ooochen thin and quickly become impregnated with the wiped paint.

And about the plastic card I think many already it is aware that replace with it a scraper for removal of excess paint from a plate. To work with the card much more conveniently.

Still to me the adhesive tape with wrapped up edge in the form of a loop facilitates process of a stemping.



At me at present window, but it is possible to use any, both usual, and office, and painting. I explain for what.
In the course of a stemping after each print it is necessary to clean a plate and a stamp from residues of paint. And it is necessary to do it very accurately not to damage svezhenakrashenny manicure, especially, when you do it by the thick wadded disk moistened in zhdsl. The edge can sometimes be turned and stick to a nail. And it means that manicure should be remade.
Here to minimize contact with the cleaning disk or a napkin, it is possible to clean a stamp from residues of paint having put it to the sticky party of an adhesive tape.
Paint with little effort remains on an adhesive tape, and in hands at us a clean stamp.



And you will need to wipe a plate only. And you rub less - less than the probability to spoil ready manicure. Here and all secret.

Well I will also a little mention about paints and varnishes for a stemping.
At present I have paints for a stemping only firms El Corazon and their of everything three.



But I with not smaller success use for a stemping and usual varnishes.



These are not all varnishes which I use. Them it is much bigger, just I for descriptive reasons took four pieces.
The price and firm does not matter at all.
The main condition for a good otpechatyvaniye of the drawing is the density of varnish. It has to be very high that the nail plate was blocked already by one varnish coat without raying of free edge.
As a rule such qualities varnishes for a neyl-art, metallics, gustoshimmerny varnishes (that is to what many meeelky blestyashka are added), matt lacquers, magnetic, golografik and some usual cream varnishes have.

And at the end I suggest you to look at collages of the manicures executed by different sets and at different times that so to speak, visually to contemplate my process of evolution in this type of dressing of nails.

The first collage is the very first tests of the Konad set.



The second are already more or less sure works, but the same small konadovsky stamp.
