Lime

Lime - Citrus aurantifolia - an evergreen tree from family rutovy. Call it also "the Mexican lime", "the West Indian lime" - C. medica var. acida, C. Latifolia, "the Italian lime" - C. limetta.

In height the lime grows to 4.5 meters. Branches of a tree are covered with thorns. Leaves are smooth, an oval form. Flowers small, white. Fruits have an appearance of a small green or light green lemon. The thin skin of a lime is thinner, than at a lemon.

Scientists consider the homeland of a lime the Southern Asia and India. Cultivate it in Mexico, Italy, in Cuba, in the south of Florida.
In fruits of a lime there is a lot of vitamin C, it contains also organic acids, sugar, essential oil, micro and macrocells.
