Tad Noten was born in Holland in 1956. In 1983 came to Academy of applied arts, and in three years in Dzherrita Ritvelda academy. At first the young talented designer not that did not recognize, was rather not seen, and then fell in love for his magnificent and contradictory, at first sight, jewelry. Now he works at Jewelry school of University of Birmingham in England and quite not bad earns, regularly delivering all new and new works in fashion industry.

But I was interested only its last collection of the bags created from transparent acrylic in which there are these or those objects. Journalists christened their so-called "bags with a surprise" for a long time. The first exhibition of this collection shocked public. In one of bags as in "an ice trap" there was a dead (!) crow! In another – the real gun! Around it, by the way, huge scandal burst. As soon as visitors left walls of the London museum, the police right there withdrew a gun from an exhibition, allegedly, as dangerous weapon. And in one more form having filled in with transparent acrylic it thrust … a piece of meat!





However, the woman for Tad is, first of all, a riddle, mystery, femininity and danger. From here and materials for work – lace, leather, transparent acrylic, in which – guns, bullets, rings, objects from a cosmetics bag or construction materials. After all the male curiosity that it women in the handbags carry openly appeared in all the beauty before this designer, and he embodied it here in such a little mad bags.











They cannot be opened. They are not capacious at all and are not practical. Likely, you thought that Tad's works are a craze or desire to surprise women of fashion with something unusual and surprising. The last – is possible. But the main reason, according to the designer, is that he likes bags, but he, unfortunately, cannot carry them. He said about it in the numerous interviews more than once. Therefore this collection – is more embodiment of his ideas about wished them a bag, than commercial work.

As for fashion, she was always favorable to Tad therefore she with pleasure accepted its next works. These bags should not be carried "in tone" to all image. On the contrary, it has to play on contrast: if you the lover of black attires, safely take in hand a bag with gold or blue handles. If on the contrary – you prefer brighter of tone – you will suit strict options.



But, despite that glory which was brought to Tad by his exhibition of bags, it is not hurried to be put for some reason on a stream. Probably, even at all their originality, it is not enough to get persons interested them. Therefore critics agree in opinion more and more that these "bags with a surprise" and will remain the pleasant picture for eyes and will settle somewhere in depths of the museums, than will pass into handles of charming persons.
