The Perfumer, as we know, carried away a secret of the spirits causing adoration, passion and wild desire in people with himself. But also today perfumers who know about what feeling can cause this or that smell exist.

All experts agree: animal smells are most of all capable to create feeling of sexual inclination in spirits. Only many of these substances are not used today, and some are even forbidden.

"In the Middle Ages, - the perfumer Annicc Le Guere tells, - alchemists prepared the spirits exciting sensuality, mixing vegetable substances, such as scarlet, camphor with products of the animal nature: musk, amber and onions-skorodu. They placed in bewitching spirits even human products, for example, women's blood (periods), or I wet." All these animal substances - amber, musk, onions-skoroda and castor oil - mixed with vegetable products, gave very much and very attracting aromas in spirits.

The research of sexual appeal, search of essence of smells in perfumery is conducted always.

Already a few years ago the ecological organizations or societies in protection of animals eliminated these natural ingredients of spirits in favor of synthetic equivalents. However, the research of sexual appeal in perfumery is always relevant. "At human smells, on the same basis, as at animal smells, the strong force of an attraction, - continues Annicc Le Guere.

"Tell, for example, that Henry IV had a "olfactory" blow of love - after, having run during the ball into the room to rub off the sweaty person, the king felt a fresh smell of sweat on a shirt of future favourite Gabrielle d' Estre who changed clothes in the same room in several minutes before".

"We cannot but remember magic spirits of the Perfumer Suskind, and this search of a smell of women's skin, the search of essence of a smell in perfumery!"

But animal smells are not only which provoke such passionate inclination. Spirits in strong concentration, especially east, have reputation of the aromas capable to awaken sensuality it is, more, than spirits easy, sea or flower. The power of attraction and languor awakened by east aromas is known. At some flower aromas where such flowers as patchouli or a tuberose, also very sensual reputation are used.

"Today, - Annicc Le Guere concludes, - structures of spirits have more nothing in common with the former elixirs exciting sensuality, but at the same time there are very beautiful spirits".

Speaking about individual choice of perfume, perfumers remind that, connecting to your skin, spirits give absolutely unique scale of aromas.
