The one-day patient for cosmetology clinics

Even more often esthetic operations take only one day: the patient comes in the morning, leaves in the evening. Whether it is reasonable? Two famous French doctors do not hide a difference in opinions on this occasion.

Hospitalization of 1 day is possible in the following cases:

The lifting or liposuction which are carried out in one day – are possible if the patient is in good shape. (For example if you have a genetic predisposition to thrombophlebitis, then you need special medical observation that is badly combined with clinic of one day.)

Short hospitalization is possible only for people who live near hospital where were operated: in the city or vicinities. Otherwise they need to stay at hotels or at friends that not really conveniently after operation.

However, these rules the general for any sort of operations with short hospitalization. For example, it is never impossible to return one ambassador of operation, on public transport or to the taxi. Also one is not recommended to stay at home in the next few hours after operation. It is necessary to provide a possibility of fast return to clinic for postoperative leaving in case of need, or for an urgent visit to the doctor.

Operations with the esthetic purposes or post-traumatic.
The combined operations in which several different parts of a body are touched. (However many the general intervention lasted, such combination does not consult recently – is proved that it is too traumatic for an organism.)


What do plastic surgeons argue today on?

There are operation types which shared opinions of surgeons on duration of finding of the patient in clinic.

Basis for a dispute – comfort of the patient, and his sensitivity.

Remodulyation of a breast. Doctor Philip Berar considers that it is quite possible to perform this operation at one-day hospitalization if the patient corresponds to all above-mentioned conditions.
Doctor Pierre Nicolo argues: consequences of this operation are often painful. Therefore patients are glad to an opportunity to spend one night in clinic, near the doctor.

Same dispute on small operations of a nose. Doctor Berar considers again that the patient of the house "is helped by walls". And his colleague Nicolo says: "My patients told me later that for them these operations were big test. Many of them kept an impression about heavy unpleasant noise during operation with local anesthesia and badly transferred it. Besides, after this sort of operations in the person there are bruises. Therefore I prefer to leave the patients for 24 hours after operation in clinic to soften for them postoperative reality: pains, bruises, puffiness".

Patients, leaving after one-day hospitalization, have to:
