Flow down for a konturing: how to use a novelty

The spring season of 2015 was noted by growth of popularity of new means for a make-up – stacks for a konturing. These novelties appeared at several world brands at once. In what their advantage and how to use them?

Pencils – new generation

Cosmetics in stacks is practical and modern option. There were shadows, lipstick, concealers in the form of pencils … Now there is a lot of such novelties. It is extremely simple to use stacks: brushes, applicators and sponges are not necessary. Only several seconds, to steam of strokes a pencil, - and the make-up is ready.

Really there is a lot of advantages at pencils. Probably, therefore flow down become so popular, and not only with ordinary users, but also at the pro. Besides usability it is possible to call convenience and accuracy of drawing. To hold a pencil in hand and to work with it much easier and more habitually, than a brush. It is difficult to tell who began the first. But at the moment there is a lot of stacks for a konturing in the market. And each of novelties has the features, "face".


1) Lancôme Le Duo Contour & Highlighter Stick. It is a marker + firming cream – a product 2 in 1.
2) Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Stick Trio. This brand considers that the konturing requires three pencils at once: for a contour, for a patch of light and the third – replacement to the bronzing blush.
3) Tyra Sculpt in a Stick. "Counter" of all products from Tyra Banks is a form of release in a pencil. More than 10 years all its novelties are issued in the form of stacks. Spring products for a konturing, certainly, are also released in convenient automatic stacks.
4) Clinique created the whole collection for a konturing of Hello Cheekbones Spring 2015. In it – two stik: Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour and Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Highlight. These products are enough "to mold" the person.
5) NYX Wonder Stick. The budgetary analog of bilateral stacks of Lancôme, are presented in several universal shades.

We use flow down for a konturing

When it comes about a konturing, all submit at once these scary pictures when models in the course of a make-up look as the heroine of horror films.

But with stacks everything is much simpler. More than any lined faces! First, highlighters should not be shaded. And the form of a pencil allows to put patches of light very precisely. Secondly, planimetric flow down are put with only one stroke, and are shaded by a brush (circular motions) or fingers. Formulas are created in such a way that the product is very easily distributed.

Step 1. Unlike the makeup artist of Clinique, Lisa suggests to begin with a contour (more dark tone), but not with a highlighter. At first draw a line under a cheekbone (the line from the middle of an ear to lips, but bringing only to the central part of the face, not to connect to corners of lips).


Step 2. Afterwards emphasize the line of a jaw.


Step 3. Also outline lateral faces of a nose. Focus on a nose bridge, it is optional to bring lines to nose wings.


Step 4. Fingers can shade, but it is better – a brush. Lisa advises to use for this purpose a flat brush for foundation. Shade carefully that there was no clear boundary of tone. The modern trend is hardly noticeable, natural konturing, but not such, as at Kym Kardashyan.


Step 5. And now illuminate a face highlighter patches of light: On the highest points of cheekbones, under an eyebrow, on the center of a nose. It is not necessary to shade. It is only possible "to beat" slightly means finger-tips.


Step 6. And very interesting trick from Lisa: she suggests to make lips more expressive and full by means of stacks. At first outline a contour of lips a dark stack.


Step 7. And then lead round an external contour of lips a light stack. Shade fingers.


Estimate as the konturing can delicately look. And it was required for no and no more than two minutes!
