Jeans: from old and unfashionable – trend and new! (the easiest way)

That we have: jeans which wait for weight loss. Many years wait. So many that already managed to get out of fashion several times.

That we want: To turn absolutely unfashionable jeans into the most trend denim of this summer. Now jeans with patches, appliques are fashionable, an embroidery is a quite good occasion to create something similar.

We choose a way: I need to make everything quickly, in several hours. To potter with patterns and subraces – not in my rules. It seems to me, the idea has to be simple and feasible even for the beginner. Therefore I decided to make stripes. This word sounds, of course, somehow in a school way and in a Soviet way, the white stripes sewed on black track bottoms which were obligatory for occupations a P. E. class at elementary school are remembered at once. But actually, idea trend: various stripes – lacy, jacquard, silk are fashionable … The ideas on podiums the sea.

For work I will need my trousers, a cut of dense furniture fabric, a thread in tone to jeans and the sewing machine.


Step 1. To cut off from fabric of a strip about 5 cm wide.


Step 2. I cut each trouser-leg lengthways. It is ideal to cut out a seam, of course. It to anything. But then it is possible to lose a rivet on a pocket. Therefore I choose simply to make a section in close proximity to a seam, leaving 5-7 mm on a new seam. When you cut, be convinced that you do not take a pocket.


Step 3. Here what turns out at this stage.


Step 4. I begin to sew a stripe. I leave a strip above the line of a belt. I do it in order that then to simulate a belt. I do not use a pin, I do in the old manner. At first I sweep together contrast threads, then I stitch on the machine and I delete a basting. This way is pleasant to me more when it is necessary to try on a thing in the course of work.


Step 5. I sweep together other party of a stripe to a trouser-leg. It is important that the stripe was not deformed and did not form then an accordion. Therefore you watch that everything was absolutely symmetric.


Step 6. Here what has to turn out before sewing everything on the machine.


Step 7. Repeat steps from the 2nd for the 6th with other trouser-leg.

Step 8. I Prostrachivat. I need to make only 4 seams.


Step 9. I process a bottom of trouser-legs. The basting is not required, everything becomes very quickly.


Step 10. Now I process the line of a belt. I turn in so that to provide some density on a belt.


Surely steam all seams that the thing looked professionally, and fitted well on a figure.

Everything is ready!
