Fast fashion?...

The Atacama Desert stretches for territories of Chile and takes Peru. It is the driest part of our planet, with humidity of air about 0th %. Rainfall here practically does not happen... But when happen, the desert blossoms all paints!
These are not developed, wild lands. The people living on the outskirts of the desert learned to survive in severe conditions and even filter water from fogs for the use and watering.
Once here the rivers flowed... But with a current of the millennia they dried up.

The desert turns into the world dump of not sold clothes year after year!
When goods long lie on shelves of shops

also are not on sale, resell them and transport for sale in poorer countries. So thousands of tons of the clothes sewed in China, Bangladesh and other countries for the known and not known brands of clothes appear in Iquique Chile port.
If there the clothes are not demanded as is obsolete / got out of fashion, then it is carried... into the Atacama Desert also throw there!
Here it is possible to find anything! Locals are also engaged in it: select clothes to themselves and even for sale in the local markets.
Tons of clothes lie under the scorching sun in the afternoon, burning out, losing attractiveness.
But it is not biodegradable fabrics! Here, in what all problem. They and will lie hundreds of years, polluting the environment. For their production chemical dyes, fibers from oil products are used...
And such garbage is not accepted by municipal dumps of garbage.
While ecologists of the whole world shout of accident, the dump in the Atacama Desert continues to be replenished...
It is a tribute to "fast" fashion and superproduction of clothes!
For the last decades the average consumer in Europe, America and Asia buys 60% more clothes, in comparison with generation of the 90th.
And the fashion and trends so quickly become outdated that everything sewed cannot simply be sold.
The wonderful desert from blossoming will become dead... And, perhaps, such shots will become history from the past...
