Shampoo Intensive Restoration from Dove

DOVE / Shampoo Intensive Restoration
Softly, volume, but without special results

Albina Rogova  July 11, 2015

After an unsuccessful carving (chose koklyushka not of that size) my hair began to hurt a little. Hairdressers advised to treat my pseudo-curls professional tools, but I decided to risk and to address once again products of Dove, especially, shampoo of this brand "Control over Loss of Hair" (I already wrote about it) made very pleasant impressions on me.

It is necessary to admit that I initially went to shop of professional tools for stylists, but on the way decided to curtail into one of network supermarkets of cosmetics and household chemicals. There I also came across the Dove "Intensive Restoration" line, new to me (though it appeared last year). More my attention was drawn by balm as Dove "Control over Loss of Hair" shampoo at me did not reach a limit yet. Just its after a carving for my weakened hair was insufficiently.

However having remembered an appeal of professionals from commercials, to use means from one series, I decided to get together with balm and Damage Solution shampoo. Especially, the price of this set was quite attractive – 130 rubles (for 200 ml of balm and 250 ml of shampoo).

Packing of shampoo and balm differed from my previous Dove shampoo only in names and color (on new bottles the white background diluted the deep dark blue metallic close to violet). According to the description of means on packing – it was just my case: "For the injured hair", "Prevents fragility and section of tips", "Restoration at the cellular level". The last promise of the producer especially caressed an eye and hearing. It was supposed to be reached by means of special development of the Dove company - Keratin Actives technology (action on a keratin in a hair and restoration of proteins at the cellular level).

Both on shampoo, and on balm traditional wishes to use them in couple with each other are specified. What I actually was also going to do, but nevertheless before it studied structure of both means. For me it was already unsurprising to meet as a part of Intensive Restoration shampoo on the second place after SLS water.

The same picture was in "Control over Loss of Hair" shampoo. However the result then very much pleased me. Here and this time I not especially attached to laurylsulphate significance though the slight disappointment nevertheless was especially as after SLS (besides repeatedly meeting) in the list of components there was a continuous chemistry. I did not see any natural oil.

Having decided to look personally at means, I squeezed out them to myself on a palm a little. The consistence is approximately same, as well as at all shampoos of Dove – moderately liquid (I would not speak about economical expenditure), white and cream with light gloss of nacre. Unless balm was more dense, reminding a mask for hair. Aromas, I think, at all means Dove for hair almost identical: pleasant, fresh, unostentatious. After washing linger on hair absolutely not for long.

Thanks to the plentiful maintenance of SLS Intensive Restoration shampoo perfectly foams: at intensive massaging of hair on the head the amusing white, volume wig turns out. But here I still thought of the washing qualities. For example, after use of varnish or mousse, it was necessary to me washed the head on two times (amount of shampoo by the rule of a five-kopeck coin).

Balm method of application quite habitual: to apply on locks from the middle to tips and after 1-2 minutes carefully to wash away. After one minute of effect of balm hair considerably change – become soft, smooth and on feelings more obedient. But it was the next balm (especially for the volume of hair I did not take), after which spin less volume, than just after shampoo. Hair become softer, easily comb hair, look more brilliant and healthy, however the feeling of their weight for some reason does not leave. Besides, by the end of the second day (I wash hair once in three-four days) locks seem a little dirty, cease to obey, begin to be electrified, stick to the person.

If to compare to "Control over Loss of Hair" shampoo, then after use of Intensive Restoration shampoo on a hairbrush there is more hair (around 7-10), than after application of the first of means (about 3-5 hair, and even 0). I think, it demonstrates or inefficiency of new shampoo (where the promised restoration?), or that it just does not suit me (though there is practically no dandruff – the main reference point for me - after it).

I can recommend this set as additional, but not the basic. For example urgently to wash the head, or to have a rest a little from the main shampoo. And for a serious hair reconstruction it is better to look for other means.
Advantages

Inexpensive
Shortcomings
As a part of full chemistry (SLS on the second place)
Results on a hair reconstruction are almost imperceptible
