As a rule, I applied this balm together with shampoo from the same series from Dove. And such way is just recommended by the producer. On clean moist hair, on all length applied a little balm and in a couple of minutes washed away warm water. Conditioner is very well distributed on hair, does not flow, and is absorbed to the last gram, thus envelops each hair. It is washed away without problems.
