Next Korean innovation: the rubber modeling masks

For decades the rubber mask could be tried only on Korean a Spa resorts. But gradually masks removed to Europe, became a hit and in our salons. For regular customers of byyuti-offices such mask, perhaps, any more not news. But today the Korean modeling mask became available to all – this product is not only at luxury Asian producers, but also in the budgetary segment of cosmetics.

What is it?

First can seem that it is a sheet mask already familiar to us, on a paper or linen basis. Externally they can look very probably. But it is different products.

Sheet masks quickly dry. There is even a number of cosmetologists who do not advise to apply a sheet mask longer, than for 5 minutes. In process of drying, the sheet mask begins to pull moisture from skin, and at long influence instead of the moistening effect gives opposite action – dries skin. Rubber masks can remain damp till 72 o'clock! Therefore they possess the strongest moistening action on skin. Ingredients get into skin more deeply as do not evaporate.

Besides, the strong, not absorbing rubber texture of a mask allows to extend toxins and pollution from skin and to purify skin. And it is much more active moistening components in such mask, and they are available in stronger concentration.

Really, there is a lot of benefits from the modeling mask.

Why it is "rubber"?

The name "rubber" - quite conditional. Actually, there is no rubber in structure. You can be quiet for the skin. The mask received this name because of the appearance. After the structure of a mask is applied to skin, it takes a form of plastic weight to the similar rubber repeating a shape of a face. And, it is similar, to a sheet mask, acts from a face one movement.


When marking such masks most often call "modeling" (modeling mask), or "modeling rubber" (Modeling Rubber Mask).

How to use?

On bulk selling rubber masks are issued in the form of dry powder.


It is necessary to add clear water to it, to mix and apply to skin on all person. For one application 25 g of powder and 50 ml of water there are enough. The dry formula of a mask allows to fill it with important ingredients which in a damp state need harmful preservatives. And powder means, as a rule, have practically no as a part of preservatives, surfactant and synthetic stabilizers.


Literally in a second after drawing a mask it is possible to feel the pleasant cooling effect. But unlike clay or paper masks, rubber does not lose moisture and does not stiffen a motionless layer, it does not pull together skin.

It is not necessary to wait long. There is enough 10-15 minutes, it is also possible to finish the procedure. Though it is not forbidden to leave also for more long time. For example, in the Korean salons the procedure with the modeling mask on a face sometimes continues till 1 o'clock.


Unmask one movement, it easily separates from the face and in hands you have thin "rubber" layer.


One of important differences of a rubber mask from sheet: after removal from the person skin will not be wet or damp! You do not need a towel or dry napkins. You only feel soft and cool skin. Feeling as though the skin was moisturized from within, but not outside. And such feeling has to accompany several days.

It is possible to reuse a mask? – such question is often asked cosmetologists. In principle, as it was told above, the moistening effect remains several days. And theoretically rubber film can be put on a face once again. But a lot of things depend on structure of a mask. If you applied a mask of deep clarification, then it had to extend on itself pollution and toxins from skin. And in this case repeatedly you hardly want to put such mask. Generally, it is better not to stint and to treat a rubber mask as to a disposable product.

Rubber masks have quite active ingredients in structure, the effect of its application has to keep several days therefore this mask – not a daily ritual, unlike sheet. It is better to apply it once a week or at the moments when skin underwent a stress and became excessively dry.
