It should be noted that fast consumption of tonic is promoted by a wide neck. I do not know, intentionally it is done by producers or specially, but suspect that they or do not think of that, kind of to the buyer to save a product and money, or purposely do a wide neck that the product was quicker spent. By the way, the same problem exists also with toothpastes which consumption doubles because of a wide neck of paste. But if with paste the situation is after all more simply because of its consistence (it is possible to squeeze out only a pea, having outwitted the producer), then with tonic will not come out.
The wave of my indignations is finished because I found tonic which producer took care of that the product was spent most carefully and economically. It is one of my favourite producers of natural cosmetics – a brand of Weleda in which arsenal there is a recovering face toner with a witch-hazel all-type skin.
Packing
Therefore I will begin with packing and I will compare tonic of Weleda to other tonic that it was more evident. We look at first at a neck, then we look at cotton wool. The difference in an expense of means is obvious.
Whether there are enough couple of drops to wipe a face? Strangely enough, is enough. The question is in that why to spend more?.
But there is more to come, than surprises with Weleda. Tonic packing – a glass bottle. Having seen that tonic is on sale in glass, associations with olive oil which is recommended to be bought only in dark glass came at once. The matter is that it is more preferable to store any products (food, cosmetic) in a glass container, but not to use plasticity. Noxious to health substances from plastic packing can get to cosmetic. Besides, means is better and longer stored in glass. Therefore such packing is especially important for organic cosmetics – it serves and as preservative. Weleda, by the way, has also other "counter" of storage. Cream Weleda are offered in aluminum tubas which do not tighten inside air as plastic, so, protect means from invasion of microbes and damage.
Structure
Composition of tonic Weleda traditionally pleases. Active ingredients of tonic:
- Rosa Moschata Leaf Extract. The rose a Moscow Siberian salmon became famous for the properties expressed anti-inflammatory and regenerating. Therefore its extract is often included in medical cosmetics. 90% of composition of oil of the Chilean rose (this second name of a plant) are linoleic and alpha and linoleic acids which protect skin from negative factors of the environment. Also this plant is powerful antioxidant (thanks to vitamin C). The important place in structure is taken also by minerals – magnesium, copper, selenium, potassium, cobalt. At their deficiency skin becomes sluggish and flabby. So the rose of a Moscow Siberian salmon is an excellent prophylactic against aging. It smoothes wrinkles, restores turgor of skin, reduces extensions.
- Hamamelis Virginiana (with Hazel) Distillate. The witch-hazel too often meets in cosmetics as removes inflammations, tones up skin, strengthens walls of vessels. What it especially appreciate in cosmetology, so it ability to narrow pores. If in youth cosmetics it is popular for decrease in reddenings and fight against an acne, then for mature skin it is good the ability to regenerate skin. Use of means with a witch-hazel helps to improve complexion and to calm skin from any kinds of irritations.
- Citrus Medica limonum (lemon) juice. The lemon is known for the properties to peel the died-off cells of skin and to update skin, to bleach, tighten and rejuvenate. Also has expressed anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect. Contains ANA-acids which send to skin a signal to updating. As a result skin is tightened, its elasticity and elasticity increases, wrinkles are smoothed.
- Fragrance (Parfum) from natural essential oils – means is perfumed by natural oils.
- Alcohol is alcohol (about alcohol read further).
In this case I cannot bypass a subject of alcohol and its use in cosmetics because all my previous reviews about means of Weleda were commented in a key "Alcohol is harmful". It commentators crossed out all advantages of means of Weleda therefore this time I decided to dwell upon an alcohol subject.
First, I want to tell that Weleda is not the only organic brand which uses alcohol in structure. Means on alcohol make such organik-brands as Amala, Lavera, The Organic Pharmacy and others.
First, as for alcohols in organic brands, Alcohol, Ethanol, Ethyl Alcohol is an ethyl alcohol which brands of natural cosmetics produce from wheat, grapes or a sugar cane. I will remind that the products of the same Weleda are certified by very serious organization NaTrue which tests organic cosmetics. So if this alcohol constituted danger, products just did not certify was.
Secondly, alcohol is natural preservative. It replaces all these harmful parabens with which structures a massmarket of creams teem. And by the way, parabens and other chemical components in structure threaten skin much more (irritation, contact dermatitis), than alcohol.
Thirdly, all researches proving harm of alcohol for skin were conducted with pure alcohol. But in cosmetics alcohol - only one of components.
Fourthly, alcohol in structure promotes deep penetration into skin of active components of means. In artificial cosmetics cosmetics "conductor" in skin are harmful glycols, and in organic cosmetics – alcohols.
Fifthly, has the right to judge the one who tried. My skin, sensitive, inclined to irritations, but tonic, a milk and cream for a face of Weleda (one for the person, the second for a century) are comfortable means which I use year. The condition of my skin during this time improved. Means never caused any irritation or even dryness. Therefore it is possible to argue on harm or advantage of alcohols long, but just it is the best of all to try. If begins to dry, of course, to refuse use.
Application
Method of application same, as well as at other tonics. They need to wipe a face after a milk or gel for washing to remove the remains of the cleaning means and to tone up skin. To use twice a day.
Very comfortable natural means which I will advise everyone.
