Today I want to talk about antibacterial soap. In the autumn and winter period many resort to this means to protect themselves and the family from harmful bacteria.
There is a lot of similar means, but I will tell you about Classical liquid soap of the Sefeguard brand.
I got it as a gift from the sponsor of our website for a victory in a competition. And I took part in this competition together with the child, and both of us rejoiced to a prize. But after its application, our joy quickly left. Why? About it I will write below.
Frankly speaking, I did not want to write the review on this product at all. It is somehow inconvenient to write something bad about a gift. But, having learned still some interesting facts about bacterial soap, decided to write the opinion after all.
But about everything one after another.
1. Appearance
There is a soap in a bottle from the dense plastic issued in the white-blue colors peculiar to the Sefeguard brand. The producer highlights with red color on what it is worth paying special attention – in particular that this means deletes 99% of bacteria.
But it is worth remembering that we live in the world of bacteria, to us without them anywhere. And together with harmful also bacteria, useful to us, are killed.
The volume of a bottle is 250 ml.
It has very convenient batcher which was initially fixed, protecting soap from accidental pressing.
The batcher easily so it is possible most to regulate the necessary quantity of the squeezed-out means is pressed.
From a reverse side of a bottle on a sticker information on a product, its structure and producer contains. Expiration date of this means in open form of 12 months.
2. Structure of means
Of course we are interested in structure. What in it it that it so effectively fights against bacteria?
At the very beginning of the list (and it means that them much) we see Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate – so-called surfactants which can cause irritation of skin, mucous an eye and even mentalities.
For this reason the producer warns that soap should be washed away carefully.
I did not notice the moistening components as a part of soap, and it means that skin will dry, and after its application it is necessary to grease hands with cream.
But on what I would like to pay special attention, it on the fact that at structure there is Triclocarban. He actively fights against bacteria.
But scientists made an experiment and established that thanks to it at bacteria which do not perish (especially on lumpy soap) the steady immunity to antibiotics is developed. Therefore be not surprised if after application of this means you after all catch a virus, and antibiotics will not have the necessary effect on it.
By the way, experiences showed that usual and antibacterial soap cope with bacteria almost equally. So super-protection was the myth!
And about harm draw conclusions. In the USA, for example, the detergents containing Triclocarban are forbidden.
3. Consistence and smell
Soap has ropish consistence of snow-white color. Well foams.
And It is necessary to tell about a smell separately because I did not face it yet.
Once you turned the bottle batcher, we felt an unpleasant smell. And when we squeezed out soap on palms, from a pungent smell even eyes began to water. The child began to yell at once: "Fuuu!" also began to wash away soap carefully. I turned up the nose and did not know where to disappear.
We decided to check how soap will cope with dirty hands.
As you can see, it washed away traces from felt-tip pens and the handle well, and here itself was washed away badly.
It was necessary to wash properly hands with flowing water to wash away the means remains.
But began to smell! It did not get to anywhere!
The child said at once that he will not wash more a hand with this soap. And I ran plentifully to grease hands with cream, but even it did not kill a soap smell.
So for myself I drew a conclusion that more on the similar advertizing "peck" I will not become, and I will wash hands with usual soap.
