Three darlings aromas from the USSR (neighboring countries)

The USSR is an era of the highest blossoming of domestic perfumery art. And though the choice was small, on dressing tables of women of fashion 70-h-80-h there were always bottles of good spirits.

According to stories, mothers, the Soviet youth, strangely enough, even during an era of patriotic ideology, with a reluctance supported domestic manufacturer of perfumery. How to present, for example, "Red Moscow" on the very young, thin, distinguished girl?! And "Red poppy", "Silvery lily of the valley", "Gold of Scythians"? Whatever one may do, they sound very much in a ladies' way. If there was no opportunity to use the French, looked for something interesting, gentle, womanly in neighboring countries.

And here still the girlfriend, as ill luck would have it, bought to herself somewhere in Poland, for example, a small graceful bottle of perfume "Perhaps".

Yes, the youth of that time differed in nothing from us giving today preference to the known foreign brands.

To smell sweet as import aroma – it meant, oblivion of the Soviet ideology and to be gentle, womanly even if you defended all day at the machine.
"Perhaps" (or "Can be") was not expensive and inaccessible, but it was very much appreciated. By sight the usual, ordinary-looking bottle concealed in itself the copy of legendary Miss Dior Cherie differing only in firmness.


Production of spirits "Perhaps" was considered as lawful because it was allegedly made according to the license Dior. To be necessary to note that sometimes behind a treasured tiny small bottle serious turns were built or it was necessary to register in turn long before its deliveries.

Perfectly I remember a dark blue bottle of one more Polish spirits under the name "Lady of Valevsk Classic" at our place


The aroma is devoted to Napoleon-Bonaparte's beloved. With pleasure - a flower, aldegidny crape, graceful, distinguished, womanly. A bottle from blue glass it is proud and independently demonstrated that aroma not absolutely Soviet. The Moscow factories produced perfumery only in transparent or opaque bottles.

Spirits "White roses" (the Ukrainian production) were considered as exclusive, were issued initially in a bottle with the ground-in cover, in the form of a rose-petal. The aroma is ancient, in the 80th the composition was considerably simplified, also registration changed. There was a usual, screw cover and now the opaque bottle with golden liquid was associated with petals of a white rose.


Despite romantic registration, aroma it was far from a white rose, to be exact, with it in general nothing in common was not. On memoirs, mothers, the aroma was delightful and gentle and some rough as though you run over expensive fabric a hand. At it it was always associated, for some reason with a white velvet. Very much it was pleasant, but was a big rarity therefore protected, for special cases.
