Self-made lip gloss: we check a popular method in practice

It is solved: we will make the gloss too. Also we will check as far as the most popular and simplest method - creation of gloss from lipstick and vaseline works.

What distinguishes gloss from lipstick? Certainly, stronger luminescence, and still – the effect leveling lips. If you have a lipstick shade which is pleasant to you, but it obviously lacks shine and the surface of lips does not differ in flatness, - that it is possible to try to improve this lipstick.

This way is also good if you accidentally broke darling stik and cannot reanimate it.

Here the list of everything that will be required to you for work:

- lipstick (residues of lipstick, the broken lipstick)
- vaseline
- a small box for a ready-made product
- spoon or toothpicks
- honey (optional)
- essential oil (optional)
- a container for preparation (which can be used in the microwave)


We start production:

Step 1. Place pieces of lipstick and vaseline in a container (where you will prepare gloss). Ratio 1:1. It is possible to put vaseline more, then the structure will be more pliable.


Step 2. Warm in the microwave. At first put for 30 seconds, it can be enough. But if lipstick was firmer, perhaps, you will need bigger time, 30 more seconds.


Step 3. Afterwards – add a little honey. At me it melted as the structure already was warm. Honey is added as the good antibacterial and moisturizing ingredient. He will add to gloss of sweet taste, but we take it not for this purpose. This moistening and nutrition.


Step 4. The structure is ready, it needed to be moved to a clean jar for gloss. Also it is possible to use!

What result?

Everything turned out. It is the recipe simple, but working. Everything can be made exactly as it is described by bloggers.

The shade practically did not undergo changes. We see the same color. Unless new gloss slightly less cover.


The structure turned out more pliable, than there was a lipstick. He lays down on lips easily, is distributed simply.

To lips it is comfortable. It seemed to me that I received better texture. On me, lipstick - more liquid has to be such. I understood this when I tried this gloss. At the same time, at a new product intensity of color as at lipstick. Magnificent result, in my opinion.

And the most pleasant: availability of vaseline and honey does structure of such quality that it smoothes small wrinkles on lips. Lips are really smoothed. And gloss increased!


The firmness is present too. Vaseline holds a shade long enough on lips, the product is not absorbed, and floats.

My conclusion

If suddenly you broke stik lipsticks, or your lipstick has tenacious and dry texture, that is a successful exit – mix it with vaseline, add a little organic honey, and receive a magnificent product.

Oh, and as it was tasty when I accidentally licked lips! Somehow the mood even increased: feeling of a natural product on lips though, of course, it is just slightly enriched lipstick. This recipe works!
